Highlights
Unstable pockets of new soft slab up to one foot in depth and loose snow sluffs could be human triggered in cliff areas and in the steep wind loaded starting zones of avalanche prone slopes. Older slabs up to two feet in depth persist and lie upon good sliding surfaces. At the upper elevations several of these older slabs were explosively triggered yesterday by avalanche hazard reduction efforts in cliff areas and in the staring zones of steep wind loaded avalanche paths.
