Avalanche Summary

Heavy snowfall and intense drifting overnight created dangerous avalanche conditions that last into Friday. Any natural avalanche activity overnight decreases on Friday, but you can easily trigger an avalanche that breaks 2 to 4 feet deep. In large paths, avalanches can break unsurvivably large. Avoid travel on or below west through north to east-facing slopes steeper than about 30 degrees. Look for safer options on south and southwest-facing wind-sheltered terrain.
