Regions: Glacier.

Small avalanches are still possible and on specific terrain can have severe consequences. For example thin windslabs in the alpine on NE aspects could take you over a cliff. A touchy surface hoar layer will become a real concern once buried deeper.

Avalanche Problems

Cornices

Cornices, present along ridgecrests, have reached their threshold and can fail unpredictably. They may not trigger a deep slab avalanche, but the chunks of cornice are enough. Imagine a big truck trundling down at you...

Aspects: North, North East, East.

Elevations: Alpine.

Likelihood: Unlikely - Possible

Expected Size: 1 - 3
