Snowpack Summary

In the Alpine, there is still enough snow to ski in some couloirs and depressions. On slopes from east to south, orographic movements, combined with winds, have left a thin layer of snow over the crust created by the last storm. The latter is present on all aspects and altitudes. Many areas at and below treeline are exposed to ground, which is why the index is below threshold for these elevation bands. In general, snow height varies from 0 to 35 cm.

Weather Summary

Synopsis: A weak low pressure system will pass south of the Chic-Chocs, and leave a few centimetres of snow. It's not a lot, but we'll take it!

Friday evening and night: Cloudy. Light snow beginning overnight. Winds from 10 to 15 km/h from South. Min. -7C.

Saturday: Cloudy. 3 to 5 cm of snow. Winds from 5 to 10 km/h from the North. Max. -7C.

Sunday: Cloudy. 2 to 3 cm of snow. Northwest winds around40 km/h. Max. -11C.

Monday: Alternating sun and clouds. Northwest winds from 35 to 40 km/h. Max. -13C.

  • Travelling on skis is hazardous due to a very shallow mountain snowpack.
