Avalanche Summary

Dangerous avalanche conditions exist. The most dangerous areas are at higher elevations on the lee sides of ridgelines and on shady, steep, planar slopes. In these areas, old snow from earlier in the season grew weak and last weekend's storm built a cohesive slab on top of it. You can find safer travel options on sunny, southerly-facing slopes where the old snow melted before last weekend's storm.
