Avalanche Summary

You might be able to trigger a small avalanche on high-elevation, northerly-facing slopes. Areas close to ridgelines and in steep gullies that hold early-season snowfall may harbor a hard-over-weak snow combination and are good places to avoid. Even small avalanches in early season conditions can be dangerous.
