You can trigger an avalanche on slopes facing northwest to north through east. The most dangerous areas are steep slopes just below ridgelines and in gully features where old-weak snow got buried from last weekend’s storm. Shooting cracks or audible collapsing are signs of unstable snow. If you observe these signs, you should move to slopes less than about 30 degrees.
