Avalanche Summary

Strong westerly winds drifted a few inches of fresh snow into potentially dangerous slabs at higher elevations. The most worrisome slopes will hold a fresh drift more than about 8 inches deep on northeast through east to southeast-facing terrain. Though less likely, this new load could reawaken deeper weak layers, creating even larger avalanches. Avoiding wind-loaded areas will help keep you safe.
