Avalanches that break deeper in the snowpack are becoming harder to trigger, but the consequences will be hard to survive. Common trigger points around rocky areas, the margins of a slope, or steep rollovers are places you should try to avoid. You can trigger the entire slope from one of these areas or from a distance away. To help further reduce your risk, keep your terrain selections conservative and stick to lower-angle slopes.
