More snow and strong winds will continue to make conditions hazardous. You can trigger a large avalanche from above, below, or adjacent to steeper slopes. Wind-drifted slopes will have the thickest slabs and are more likely to produce larger, more dangerous avalanches. Know what's above you, and make conservative choices, giving northerly or easterly-facing avalanche paths a wide berth.
