Highlights

New soft slabs to two feet in depth exist on steep wind loaded aspects at mid and upper elevations. These slabs could be triggered by backcountry users today and if triggered, have the potential to pull out deeper harder slabs that lie on slick crusts and faceted snow. These slabs, although smaller, also exist at lower elevations, steep gullies and banks should be avoided.
