Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Shallow pockets of surface slab persist in steep wind loaded starting zones at the highest elevations while warm temperatures at all elevations have weakened the existing snowpack. Snowmobilers and skiers could trigger avalanches on steep slopes today which could step down into deeper layers of weak faceted snow.
