Pockets of wind slab up to 18 inches in depth could be human triggered in steep avalanche starting zones and cliff areas.
Human triggered slab avalanches are possible in steep terrain at the upper elevations and in isolated areas at the mid elevations. Avalanches are unlikely at the lower elevations. Suspect areas include steep avalanche paths, cliff areas and terrain traps.
Pockets of wind slab up to 18 inches in depth could be human triggered in steep avalanche starting zones and cliff areas.
A weak disturbance will bring some clouds and gusty winds to the region. There is a slight chance for some mountain snow flurries. Temperatures will be in the 20s and 30s. Winds will be southwesterly at 20 with gusts in excess of 40 miles per hour possible. The general avalanche hazard will continue to be MODERATE at the upper elevations where some potential for humans to trigger slab avalanches to depths of 18 inches in steep terrain exists. Avalanches are unlikely except in isolated areas at the mid elevations. Limited snow exists at the lower elevations.
