Highlights

Soft slabs to two feet in depth persist at the upper elevations. Pockets of soft slab to one foot in depth persist at the mid elevations. These slabs could be triggered today on very steep wind loaded aspects. Yesterday a snowmobiler was caught, buried and recovered alive on a steep northeast facing upper elevation slide path in the Snake River Range. The crown of this avalanche was 30 inches deep. Similar events are possible today especially on upper northerly aspects.
