50 cm of snow, and up to 100 cm in some localities, will fall in all altitude zones, especially above approximately 2000 m. The sleet will give rise in the afternoon to increasing moistening of the snowpack below approximately 2100 m. The large quantity of fresh snow as well as the wind slabs will become increasingly prone to triggering in all aspects. Above approximately 2400 m the wind slabs will increase in size as the day progresses. These conditions will cause a rapid rise in the avalanche danger from the early morning in the regions exposed to substantial precipitation. The natural activity of dry avalanches will rapidly increase. Some large natural avalanches are possible. In the typical avalanche paths in particular these can reach the valleys.

The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the field. Over a wide area new snow and wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. Above approximately 2100 m snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Below approximately 2200 m a little snow is lying. The old snowpack will be generally well bonded.
