Locally unstable conditions. A skier or a snow mobile may trigger avalanches in the wind slabs formed the last days, mainly in South-facing aspects. In the afternoon the wind will pick up from East, and some fresh slabs can be formed in easterly slopes as well.

Strong South and Southeasterly winds will give wind slabs in lee areas. A few naturally triggered avalanches can occur. With cold temperatures, the formation of a weak layer between the wet old snow and cold and dry new snow is possible, be therefore aware of whomp-sounds and shooting cracks in the snowpack.

Skredfaren er størst på indre strøk, der vind fra sør og sørøst kan flytte på løssnø og danne ferske fokksnøflak. I ytre strøk er det mindre vind og mindre snø tilgjengelig for transport. Fokksnø fra tidligere i uken vil gradvis stabilisere seg.

Med lavere temperaturer og klarvær er det også mulighet for rask utvikling av kantkorn mellom tørr nysnø og våt gammel snø, vær derfor særlig obs på faretegn som drønn og skytende sprekker.

Det har kommet mye nysnø fra tirsdag til torsdag, etter overgang fra regn og mildvær i starten av uken. I fjellet har kraftig vind fra nord og nordvest omfordelt endel av snøen, i skogen vil det være mer ubunden løs snø. I ytre strøk har mye av snøen blåst på havet, mer snø på indre strøk.
