The sometimes new snow-covered wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases at intermediate and high altitudes, caution is to be exercised in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas on very steep slopes. In high Alpine regions these avalanche prone locations are more widespread. They are covered with new snow and are difficult to recognise. In the regions exposed to heavier precipitation medium-sized natural dry avalanches are to be expected. The avalanche prone locations for dry avalanches are to be found in particular on very steep slopes at intermediate and high altitudes.

20 to 40 cm of snow, but less in some localities, will fall until the early morning above approximately 2400 m. In these regions in all altitude zones hardly any snow is lying. On sunny slopes as well as below approximately 2300 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying. At high altitudes and in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack on shady slopes.

The danger of natural avalanches will decrease gradually.
