Forecast Snow Stability: The remaining old snowpack will be well bonded firm and stable in all locations. Isolated shallow deposits of fresh windslab will form mainly on North-East to South-East aspects above 800 metres. These deposits are not likely to be extensive and be confined to steep wind sheltered areas such as gully tops and coire rims. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Light snow showers throughout the night will fall as snow above around 600 metres then clear to give a dry day. Gale force mainly Westerly winds overnight will ease to become moderate by morning and then increase slightly during the day. The freezing level will rise from around 600 metres to 800 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Mild, wet and windy for most of the day. Heavy precipitation was rain at all levels, becoming lighter and turning to snow above 800m later in the afternoon. Storm force West-South-West winds eased slightly. The freezing level was above the summits before dropping to around 800 metres later in the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: A thaw at all levels for most of the day. The limited remaining snowpack is now beginning to refreeze above 800 metres as the freezing level drops. Stability is good in all locations. Greatest accumulations remain on North through East to South-East aspects above 850 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
