Wet snow
- Below 1,700 m
Moist avalanches above approximately 1700 m. Weakly bonded old snow and wet snow at intermediate altitudes. Moist avalanches and wet avalanches are the main danger.

Small and medium-sized avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation. Individual weak layers exist in the old snowpack in particular in gullies and bowls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. Small and medium-sized avalanches are possible in shady places that are protected from the wind. Individual mostly small wet snow slides and avalanches are possible below approximately 1700 m.
Significant warming: The snowpack will become wet all the way through below approximately 1700 m. The snowpack remains in most cases subject to considerable local variations. It is largely stable. In particular, however, the wind slabs in places that are protected from the wind are capable of being triggered still.
