Highlights

As a consequence of the solar radiation, the likelihood of moist snow slides and avalanches being released will increase in particular on steep sunny slopes below approximately 1700 m. In very isolated cases weak layers exist in the old snowpack above approximately 1700 m.

Avalanche Activity

As a consequence of the solar radiation, the likelihood of moist snow slides and avalanches being released will increase in particular on steep sunny slopes below approximately 1700 m. In very isolated cases weak layers exist in the old snowpack above approximately 1700 m.

As a consequence of solar radiation individual small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist and wet avalanches are possible below approximately 1700 m. As a consequence of the solar radiation, the likelihood of moist snow slides and avalanches being released will increase in particular on steep sunny slopes below approximately 1700 m. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on steep sunny slopes and in gullies and bowls in all aspects. Isolated avalanche prone weak layers exist in the old snowpack above approximately 1700 m. Avalanches can in isolated cases be released by people or triggered naturally. More small and medium sized avalanches are possible. This applies in particular in case of a large load. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 1700 m and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. In particular wind-loaded slopes where weaknesses exist in the old snowpack are treacherous.

Snowpack Structure

As a consequence of mild temperatures and solar radiation the snowpack settled. The snowpack will be generally stable. The weather will be mild. The snowpack will become moist. Slight increase in danger of moist and wet avalanches as a consequence of solar radiation. Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on steep sunny slopes below approximately 1700 m and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain above approximately 1700 m.
