Forecast Snow Stability: The older snowpack will remain stable throughout. These accumulations are patchy and mostly above 850m on Northerly to South-Easterly aspects. Any fresh snow will consolidate quickly in the mild overnight temperatures. Fresh snow accumulations during the day are not expected to be significant. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Overnight, South-Westerly winds increase to storm force with heavy rain and a freezing level well above the summits. During the day, the freezing level drops to around 750 metres with showers falling as snow above 600 metres; winds veer Westerly and gradually ease to become strong by the end of the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: It was a mainly dry day with light South-Westerly winds. The freezing level was around 800 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The patchy old snowpack is well bonded and stable in all locations. Accumulations of fresh windslab are not significant. The avalanche hazard is Low.
