- Above treeline

In some regions up to 30 cm of snow will fall above approximately 2000 m. The fresh snow and the sometimes large wind slabs will be deposited on the unfavourable surface of an old snowpack in all aspects.
In particular in gullies and bowls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain sometimes large wind slabs will form. Below approximately 2300 m medium-sized to large wet loose snow avalanches are possible.
The sleet will give rise to rapid moistening of the snowpack over a wide area below approximately 2300 m. As a consequence of new snow and strong wind dry slab avalanches are to be expected as the day progresses, even large ones.
