Forecast Snow Stability: The existing patchy snow cover will remain well bonded and stable. The snow surface will become increasingly firm as the freezing level falls. Isolated windslab deposits possible on some steep North-East to South-East aspects above around 850 metres on the more inland hills in our area. These deposits are expected to be shallow and easily avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Overnight will be mild with gale force South-Westerly winds and rain at all levels. Rain turning to snow above around 800 metres in the morning then easing to light showers for the remainder of the day. Winds will veer West-South-Westerly and ease slightly during the day. Observed Weather Influences: A mild day with Strong South-Westerly winds. Drizzle on the summits for most of the day with some periods of heavier rain. ObservedSnowStability: The remaining patchy snow cover continues to thaw and diminish. Stability is good in all locations. Largest areas remain on North-West through North to East aspects above 750 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
