Further heavy rain will affect all levels later in the day. Gale force winds will be generally Southerly. Observed Weather Influences: New snow and strong generally West-South-Westerly winds overnight and today have affected the area. The freezing level is around 850 metres and rising. Much milder conditions will occur later in the day. ObservedSnowStability: New snow and wind transport of existing snow overnight and earlier today have formed accumulations of deep unstable windslab in sheltered gullies and on slopes with a North-West through North to South-Easterly aspect mainly above 800 metres. Fragile cornices exist above these locations. Wind exposed slopes have been scoured and are firm and icy in places. The avalanche hazard is Considerable.
