CM for 6/1/22 Localised snow instabilities, on NW to NE aspects above 950m. Moderate Hazard.

Forecast Snow Stability: Some localised snow instabilities will develop at the highest elevations on steep, sheltered North-West to North-East facing gullies and around coire rims above 950 metres. Any new cornices in these areas will be weak. Good stability in all wind-exposed locations. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry and cold overnight before a rising freezing level will bring outbreaks of snow turning to rain below 800 metres. South-West winds will increase during the day to strong South-Easterly. Observed Weather Influences: Some light snow showers early in the period, thereafter it has been a mostly dry day. Fluctuating temperatures resulted in a few isolated showers which fell as light drizzle below 700 metres during the day. The strong overnight winds eased light to moderate North-Westerly. ObservedSnowStability: Any new accumulations have not been significant. Stability is generally good, with many slopes wind-scoured from recent strong winds. Cover remains patchy with any new deposits lying mainly on North-East to South-East facing coire rims and steep gully tops above 850 metres. Old patches are hard and stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
