Over a wide area 40 to 70 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall on Thursday above approximately 2500 m. As a consequence of new snow and a strong to storm force wind from westerly directions, deep wind slabs will form from the middle of the day in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation as well as above approximately 2500 m.
