The surface of the snowpack will cool hardly at all during the overcast night and will already be soft in the early morning. In some localities 2 to 5 cm of snow will fall from midday above approximately 2200 m. The new snow and wind slabs can still be released in some cases in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2700 m. In isolated cases the avalanches can be triggered in deep layers of the snowpack and reach medium size in some cases. As the temperature drops hardly any more moist and wet avalanches are to be expected below approximately 2400 m.

The new snow is bonding quite well with the old snowpack in all aspects. This snow remains in some cases prone to triggering in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2700 m. The old snowpack is faceted. Distinct weak layers exist deeper in the old snowpack in particular on steep shady slopes. Only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.

The danger of dry and moist avalanches will persist.
