Forecast Snow Stability: The majority of the older snow will refreeze, remaining stable and becoming icy in some locations. New unstable areas of windslab will develop over older snow-ice in wind sheltered locations on South-East to South-West aspects above 900 metres. These accumulations will be shallow and are not expected to be widespread. Elsewhere, cover will be best on high North to East facing corries. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: A much colder day with the freezing level sub 600 metres for most of the period. Light snow showers will fall on strong North to North-East winds. Observed Weather Influences: A bright start to the day with cloud developing from mid morning. Around +3 degrees celsius at 930 metres for most of the day. Fresh winds from the North-West throughout the morning. ObservedSnowStability: Remaining snow is well bonded and stable. Greatest areas of snow are found on the highest plateau areas and in North to East facing corries above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
