Forecast Snow Stability: The moist snowpack will refreeze and become stable. Accumulations of new windslab expected on South-East to South aspects above 950 metres by the end of the day but not expected to be extensive or gain significant depth. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Progressively stronger NNE, later NNW, airflow. A few overnight snow showers then a dry interlude with more snow showers commencing before dawn. Becoming colder. Observed Weather Influences: Overnight sleety snow showers tapered out to leave a dry day. Strong South-West winds eased to light by morning. Freezing at around 1000 metres throughout. ObservedSnowStability: Good stability in most places. The snowpack is moist at most altitudes but generally well bonded. A little new windslab on steep North to East aspects above 1000 metres. Weak cornices in place above some steeper lee slopes. The avalanche hazard is Low.
