A slight warming trend late yesterday saw N facing aspects soften slightly. Expect a light crust on those aspects after another cold night. Start zones and steep entries are places you may find wind-slab conditions. Remember, many hidden hazards sit just below a thin snowpack.
Almost a repeat of yesterday, A fine sunny start will slowly deteriorate as high cloud moves in during the afternoon. The freezing level rising to around 2000 m. Winds increasing from the NW late in the day.
Slick conditions may be encountered under a light dusting of snow. Be prepared, you could be surprised of hard icy snow below 1600 m. Caution required in and around steep terrain.
