Forecast Snow Stability: During the day fresh accumulations of mainly wet snow will be deposited on all aspects above 800 metres. These deposits are not expected to be significant with greatest accumulations being in wind sheltered locations mainly on North to East aspects above 1000 metres. Wind exposed areas of existing old snow will begin to refreeze. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: It will be mainly dry and cloudy overnight with gale force South Easterly winds. From around dawn, as the freezing level falls below the summits, precipitation falling as rain and snow above 800 metres will continue through the morning becoming more showery during the afternoon. Strong South-Westerly winds will increase becoming gale force by the end of the day. Observed Weather Influences: A generally damp and dull day with light rain showers and drizzle. The freezing level was above the summits with fresh South Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The remaining snowpack is well consolidated and stable, and is thawing at all elevations. Around the higher summits, which have been slower to soften, the snowpack is firm and in places remains icy. The largest snow accumulations remain on North to East aspects above 850 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
