Even single winter sport participants can release avalanches. In particular on very steep north, northeast and east facing slopes the avalanches can be released in the weakly bonded old snow and reach medium size in isolated cases. Remotely triggered avalanches are possible in isolated cases. From midday as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation there will be a gradual increase in the danger of moist and wet avalanches. Some small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized natural avalanches are possible.
Sunshine and high temperatures gave rise to moistening of the snowpack in all aspects below approximately 2400 m. The new snow of last week has settled to a large extent in particular on sunny slopes. The old snowpack remains weakly bonded on shady slopes. The more recent wind slabs are to be found areas not adjacent to ridgelines, this also applies adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas above approximately 2300 m. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be reduced.
The surface of the snowpack will only just freeze and will soften quickly. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be reduced. The danger of moist avalanches will increase a little during the day.
