Forecast Snow Stability: Localised new accumulations will develop on North to East aspects above 900 metres. Deepest accumulations will be found around wind sheltered corrie rims and gully tops where deposits will only be moderately well bonded. Elsewhere the snow will be firm and remain well bonded. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.
Forecast Weather Influences: It will be slightly cooler with the freezing level around 900 metres. There will be light snowfall, mostly overnight. Strong winds throughout, variable South-Westerlies. Observed Weather Influences: Initially bright and cold but quickly becoming cloudy with light rain and sleet at summit level. Winds were fresh from the South-West. ObservedSnowStability: The snow cover is thawing but remains generally well bonded at all levels. Greatest cover is above 900 metres, patchy below this level. The avalanche hazard is Low.
