Forecast Snow Stability: Shallow deposits of localised windslab will be present in wind sheltered locations mainly on North to Easterly aspects above 850 metres. Areas mostly affected are steep convex slopes, gully exits and coire rims. Exposed old snow deposits will remain firm and stable. Elsewhere there will be a light dusting of snow. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing will remain above 1000 metres. Mostly dry through the forecast period, just an odd overnight shower risk. The South-Westerly winds will ease by dawn and then back becoming light East-North-Easterly. Observed Weather Influences: It was wild and very wet with blustery South-Westerly winds. The freezing level started out at around 800 metres and steadily rose to above 1000 metres by midday. Light accumulations of new snow fell mainly above 600 metres in the morning, snow showers became less frequent in the afternoon.

ObservedSnowStability: New, shallow windslab was developing in wind sheltered areas, mainly on North to East aspects above 850 metres. These new accumulations have not gained any depth and are generally not extensive. The older snowpack deposits are well bonded and stable, lying mainly on North to East aspects above 800 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
