Wet snow represents the main danger. Wind slabs require caution.

Over a wide area up to 10 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen since yesterday above approximately 2500 m. Since Friday on steep slopes numerous medium-sized avalanches occurred naturally, in particular avalanches with origins in high-altitude starting zones. Above approximately 2000 m moist and wet avalanches are possible. In some places avalanches can penetrate near-ground layers of the snowpack. Most and wet avalanches can be released by small loads. Medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large natural avalanches are, however, further possible. As a consequence of new snow and a moderate to strong wind, precarious wind slabs formed in the last two days in particular adjacent to ridgelines as well as above approximately 2300 m. The fresh wind slabs can be released even by a single winter sport participant above approximately 2300 m.

The snowpack is moist. Over a wide area new snow is lying on old snow containing large grains. In some cases the wind slabs have bonded poorly with the old snowpack.
