No distinct avalanche problem

Snowpack
The fresh drift snow is prone to triggering in places.
In addition, around the crusts in the top section of the snowpack, weak layers with a sometimes faceted crystal structure are deposited. These weak layers are still prone to triggering in places, especially in southern Upper Valais and in the inneralpine regions of Grisons. Deep layers of the snowpack are compact in many places and do not contain distinct weak layers.
Gliding avalanches are still possible, primarily on east-, south- and west-facing slopes below approximately 2600 m and more rarely on north-facing slopes. These may be large. At present, we are again seeing an increase in gliding avalanche activity.

The night will be partly clear. In the morning, it will still be partly sunny in the east, subsequently becoming cloudier, as it will already be in the west. There may be some precipitation as the day progresses.

In the north, it was mostly very cloudy and it snowed, especially during the night. The snowfall level dropped from around 2000 m to around 1500 m. In the south, it was dry and partly sunny.

It will be mostly cloudy in the north and sunny in the south as the day progresses. In the north, 15 to 30 cm of snow is expected above around 2200 m. There will be a light to moderate northwesterly wind. In the south, foehn winds from the north will pick up as the day progresses. The danger of dry avalanches will rise in the north. Gliding avalanches will also still be possible.
Tuesday
During the night, the skies will clear from the west. It will be sunny during the day. The danger of dry avalanches will decrease. Loose snow avalanches are expected as a result of solar radiation and milder temperatures during the day. The danger of gliding avalanches will hardly change.
