The more recent wind slabs can still be released in some cases above approximately 2900 m. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. The prevalence of the avalanche prone locations will increase with altitude. In the other aspects and at lower altitudes the avalanche danger is low (level 1). The weather will be very mild. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be good. Significant warming to 4000 m. The danger of moist avalanches will increase during the day. Avalanches can in some cases be released in near-surface layers and reach medium size in isolated cases. This applies in particular in extremely steep terrain, and at the base of rock walls.

The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the field. At low and intermediate altitudes only a little snow is lying. Above approximately 2700 m snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. The old snowpack will be generally well bonded.

As the temperature drops there will be a gradual decrease in the danger of moist avalanches. Until Tuesday the wind will be strong.
