Forecast Snow Stability: Snowfall and drifting will form moderately to weakly bonded windslab in wind sheltered locations on mainly West through North to North-East aspects, with some cross-loading occurring. Gully tops and corrie rims will be worst affected. Shallower areas of windslab will form in wind sheltered locations below this altitude. New fragile cornices will start to form. A good deal of the snow will be firm and wind scoured. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Forecast Weather Influences: Snowfall above 300 metres, arriving by late evening. Very light snowfall during the day, eventually only above 650 metres. Winds will be gale force Southerly, then South-South-Easterly during the heaviest of the snowfall, easing to fresh Southerly during the day. 400 metre freezing level overnight, rising to 700 metres by mid-afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: Dry, bright and sunny morning. High level cloud building in the afternoon. Light variable winds during the morning, fresh South-South-Westerly by early afternoon. Freezing level down into the glens. ObservedSnowStability: A good deal of the snow is firm and well bonded. Localised areas of moderately bonded snow exist in wind sheltered locations only, on South-East through South-West to North-West aspects above 800 metres. Gully tops and corrie rims most affected. Exposed locations are wind scoured and very icy. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
