Avalanche Summary

Dangerous avalanche conditions exist and will worsen throughout the day. By the afternoon, you can easily trigger large and dangerous wet avalanches, and you might still be able to trigger a large dry slab avalanche on mid to upper elevation north-facing slopes. The easiest way to reduce your chances of being caught in a dangerous avalanche is to start and end your day early and identify and avoid steep, unsupported slopes that face northwest, north, and northeast.
