Avalanche Summary

Don't get lulled into a false sense of confidence, as the snowpack is slowly healing and avalanches are becoming harder to trigger. There is significant variability in slab thickness, and tracking this over terrain can be challenging. The north side of the compass is the most dangerous, especially where slabs are around 1 to 2 feet thick, and you are closer to the weak layer below. Avoiding steep wind-drifted slopes and sticking to lower-angle terrain will help keep you safe.
