As temperatures rise, along with sunshine, the avalanche hazard will increase. At lower elevations, where overnight temperatures barely dipped below freezing, the possibility of point slides and wet slabs to the ground will rapidly increase this morning and throughout the day. With a gain in elevation, sloughing and wet slides will be possible on sunlit aspects, having the potential of entraining dangerous volumes of snow. Large cornice drops could also act as a trigger for both avalanche scenarios.

Finally, pockets of slab could be triggered on shaded aspects in wind loaded starting zones. Cornice drops could also act as a trigger for each avalanche scenario.
