Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE above an elevation of 8,000 feet. In steep avalanche terrain, skiers and riders have the potential to trigger shallow soft slabs as well as older hard slabs with depth to two feet. These events may be caused by the first person on a slope or after it has been crossed many times.
