At the mid and upper elevations, backcountry travelers have a small possibility of triggering isolated pockets of surface slab up to 18 inches deep in very steep, wind loaded terrain. The snowpack at the lower elevations is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely.

A Pacific trough will move through the area starting early Monday depositing three to six inches of snow in the mountains by tomorrow evening. Overnight lows in the mountains will be in the upper teens rising to near 30 during the day. Southwesterly ridgetop winds will range from 15 to 25 miles per hour.With only a few inches of new snow in the forecast, the general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW on Monday.
