Avalanche Summary

You can trigger an avalanche that breaks in the new and drifted snow. Avalanches in the surface snow could step down to the ground, triggering a larger and more dangerous slide. Cracking and collapsing are signs of unstable snow and indicate avoiding steep slopes. For safer travel options, stick to slopes less than around 30 degrees in steepness protected from the wind.
