Sunny skies, light winds and above-freezing temperatures last night continue to raise concerns for wet snow avalanches today. Some wet loose snow could move without a human trigger and in sunny couloirs, these could grow large enough to be dangerous. Don’t discount the force of moving wet snow and think about ways to avoid being on or under slopes that grow wet and sloppy today. If you start sinking to your boot-tops in wet snow, you’re in a bad spot.

Avalanches such as this will continue to be a problem today. Though slow moving, wet avalanches are dense and powerfull and especially dangerous in gully features like the one pictured.
