Forecast Snow Stability: With the arrival of the warm temperatures on Friday morning, the snowpack will gradually thaw and further consolidate. Snowpack stability will be good. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: After a dry evening, rain and warm temperatures will become established during Friday. South-Westerly winds will increase. Observed Weather Influences: The freezing level fell to around 900 metres overnight and there were some light snow showers. ObservedSnowStability: The old snowpack has started to refreeze in the cooler temperatures. There is a superficial dusting of fresh snow above 900 metres. Snowpack stability is good. The avalanche hazard is Low.
