Forecast Snow Stability: Isolated areas of fresh windslab will develop in areas sheltered from the North West winds. Any significant accumulations will generally be restricted to the tops of steep East and South aspects above 1000m. Elsewhere fresh snow accumulations will mostly be lying on bare ground. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: Snow showers are expected above 400m with fresh to strong North-Westerly winds over the summits. Observed Weather Influences: It has been a wet night with summit temperatures of plus 6 degrees celsius. During the day, the freezing level started to lower and fresh snow fell to 500m. ObservedSnowStability: There is a thin cover of fresh snow on many aspects above 500m although accumulating tase are not significant in depth. This new snow lies mainly on bare wet ground. The avalanche hazard is Low.
