Current Snowpack Conditions

6cm of snow fell on the 17th withg little wind. Thei fell on a snowpack that haz been wind blowen and warmed, a consolidated snowpack.

Mountain Weather

Fine until early evening then some snow. Northwesterlies developing. Winds rising to westerly 80 km/h in the early evening. Freezing level rising to 3500 metres in the afternoon.

Sliding Danger

The melt-freeze cycle has been happening the last few days. Crampons and an ice axe are a good idea for backcountry travel.
