Quick report
Freezing temps from last night and today have done a world of good for the stability of the snowpack. The snow surface was fully supportable due to a stout melt-freeze crust and was just starting to soften up around noon on sunny aspects.
I witnessed a couple of isolated roller balls off of Lakes Lookout and Lee's (N and NW around 8000') that likely fell during the warm-up earlier this week. No other signs of instability.Weather

It was a calm, clear, and cold day in the mountains. Minimal winds, no clouds, and below freezing temps at least until 12:30.
Snowpack
I found a stout, 6-inch melt-freeze crust on all aspects above 7000'. Below that is a generally well-consolidated and right-side-up snowpack. The last 24 hours of below-freezing temps have dramatically cooled off the top foot of the snowpack, but below that, everything is right around freezing. Snow grains were moist, but I did not see any liquid water.
