Quick report
Rain on snow, heavy precipitation, and temperatures well above freezing. The snowpack is saturated and had several noticeable weak layers. Total depth was ~100cm with an obvious weak layer down 60cm and at the ground. During a demo test pit compression test and extended column test failures happened during isolation of the columns both down 60cm indicating highly unstable snow. We ran a propagation saw test with results PST10/100 End down 60cm with almost explosive propagation and failure of the block. Needless to say: Conditions are sketchy! Avoided all avalanche terrain and slopes greater than 30 degrees.
